Media/Film Intern Wanted - September 2017

 

Long Island Girl Talk (LIGT) is a community based program  that trains teenage girls to produce their own  weekly television show. The program runs once a month on Saturdays, from 11 am to 4 pm, from September 2017 to April 2018 at Nassau Community College. LIGT is looking for an intern with experience in film or video production. Students with substantial film editing experience are preferred, but not required. Candidates must be able to set up and break down the television set, including lifting production equipment.   Candidates must work well with a youth population.  Candidate will be responsible for photographs posted for our social media.

 

This position has a small stipend with the possibility of future employment and/or paid contract work. Students will receive tutelage from local independent filmmakers; plus, they will gain teaching experience. Future letters of reference will be provided. Social Media Intern Wanted - September 2017

 

Long Island Girl Talk (LIGT) is a community based program that trains teenage girls to produce their own  weekly television show. The program runs once a month on Saturdays, from 11 am to 4 pm, from September 2017 to April 2018 at Nassau Community College. LIGT is looking for an intern with experience in social media. Students with substantial social media experience and/or training are preferred. Intern coordinates and executes the company’s social media strategy, working across key social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.  Must be able to repurposes content from other sources for our own social media channels.  Periodically serves as photographer of company events as needed. Intern works remotely but must attend Orientation, the Holiday Fundraiser and the Closing Ceremony.
